1. Create a new empty document in DW, add lang="en" or "fr" to html, save as, push, test validator, should be perfect, since it is empty
  2. Design view, goto word doc, ctrl-a select all copy, paste into design view in DW, save, push, validate
  3. At this point almost certainly you have validation errors and that is whty we use sweeper.
  4. Go into code view, copy everything from after the start of the <body> (should be an h1) to just before </body>
  5. Go into sweeper (http://sweeper3.imatics.com/paste_sweep.php) and paste. If you don't have an h1, just put one at the top, that will save you some headaches.
  6. Run clean_word_clf2 and update_to_WET4 (choosing English or French to match the document)
  7. Recheck validation, maybe you are clean or maybe you have errors. Often it is image alt tag, or incorrectly nested lists or other stuff. Fix this all to get it clean.
